The Everyday Edit - June 23rd
how is the 4th of july in 11 days??
Hi friends!
It was a whirlwind weekend that started with one of my dearest friend's weddings on Friday, which also happened to be my birthday! I LOVE a wedding, so there was no better way to celebrate my birthday, especially for such a close friend! It was also 95 degrees here so we spent a lot of the weekend on the lake continuing the celebrations with my family and my in laws. I have been go go go, like everyone else and I cannot believe the 4th of July is almost here. June is flying by faster than I can even believe!
In case you missed in stories last week, I shared that Amazon officially announced that Prime Day day is just 2 weeks away and will be Tues, July 8th to Friday, July 11th this year! This will be my 4th year covering Prime Day and for those of you who are new around here, we take this responsibility very seriously. We do get a preview to many of the deals and try to sort through the madness and share all the best deals as soon as they go live, so you don't have to do the work. My IG stories are the best place to catch all the deals as soon as they drop. My Amazon Storefront will of course be updated as well throughout the event. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is also happening during July and big retailers like Target and Walmart also follow suit, so buck up, July is a busy month!
My brain is swirling with so many balls in the air right now, so let's get to my weekly brain dump:
-Last week I talked a bit about Summersalt swim and ironically the brand sent me a few suits to try out that I just got and love! The first thing I immediately noticed were that the pads are SEWN IN, which is a game changer. There is nothing I hate more than lumpy, folded pads in a suit and so this was an immediate love for me. I got this and this style and both of them I got in my true size. I did not get long torso and they still fit well! (I am 5'8" for reference)
-I am starting to get back to school requests in my weekly question box (sorry I am not mentally ready to go there!!), but Target did just bring in all new colors in my favorite 100% leak proof Ello water bottle for school age kids! Both of my older kids use this as their main water bottle at school or camps because it can be thrown into any bag, upside down and does not leak when the top is shut. It also has a locking mechanism to guarantee it! The 22 oz size I think is perfect for them.
-I just ordered another one of these Swim Ways Lounger Floats because it is 20% off and is an awesome float for a lake or pool. While it's great for adults, I actually love it most for a young toddler like my 20 month old. He wears his life vest, but loves to float and hang out in the mesh section of it.
-I love a good henley t-shirt for a guy. My husband owns this Vuori one which is a really nice lightweight t-shirt for summer, but I also recently got him this one that is only $15 and a really nice heftier fabric.
-If you like to sleep in pants, but are looking for a really nice lightweight pajama pant for warmer nights, Karlie and I both recently got these ribbed wide leg pants from Soma and they are awesome. They do run big, so size down, but they are a super soft, slinky and lightweight fabric and are on sale right now for under $35!

Octopus Water Pool Toys - The top seller last week was this 6 pack of octopus water toys! They float and are great for kids who aren’t diving yet. All 3 of my kids love playing with these!
Travel First Aid Kit - I had to pull this out two times last week! I keep one in my car at all times, I cannot recommend it enough if you have kids.
Summer Bridge Activity Book - My son will be in first grade this fall and I asked the teacher outside of reading and going to the library this summer, what else she would recommend and this was the top suggestion! They have them for every grade and my son loves to do a few pages daily for ten minutes. It feels like an easy and low commitment way to keep them engaged and on top of their learning during the summer.
Alphabet Water Coloring Cards - These are the number one sellers from our Busy Bag for toddlers reel (linked below) that I shared last week!
Rainbow Silicone Fidget Toy - Another winner from the Busy Bag reel was this silicone fidget toy! It comes with two different silicone toys that are back to back for kids to play with. My friend brought these on vacation earlier this year and the kids were loving them.
Anthropologie Dress
I wore this dress to a wedding this weekend and I am so obsessed with the print and fabric! It also comes in solid black and brown and I think would make for an awesome option if you have any upcoming weddings and want to stay simple/chic in your look. It is made out of Anthro's magic fabric (which I also own in pants) and it is truly the most comfortable and flattering fabric ever. The dress fits true to size!
Snackle Box + Cooler
This $10 snackle box is honestly the real MVP of our summer! We have been on the go non-stop lately and that means meals have been too. The snack box makes it easy for me to throw in an assortment of foods for my toddler (and us too lol). We also have been using this cooler wherever we go (literally $20), and this picnic blanket. Target saving my sanity one product at a time!
